Material Narratives

My textile practice extends beyond functionality, positioning textiles as a medium of artistic and spatial expression. It is grounded in continuous observation particularly of natural landscapes and their evolving patterns over time. By revisiting the same environments across seasons and years, I study subtle transformations in texture, rhythm, and behaviour, which inform the visual language of my work.
These explorations translate into a body of work where textiles act as both surface and experience. I experiment with materiality, scale, and technique to create pieces that engage not only visually but sensorially. Sustainability remains integral to my process, guiding my choice of materials and methods to ensure an environmentally responsible approach.
A key focus of my work is the adaptability of textiles across diverse contexts. I explore textiles at an architectural scale transforming spaces and creating immersive experiences supported by ongoing documentation, material experimentation, and process-led exploration. Through this, I examine how textiles respond to different environments and evolve as dynamic elements that integrate seamlessly within them.
